Happy Halloween! We woke up to a very fuzzy Ariel pumpkin this morning. Whoops, think I need to implement better preservation tactics next year. The rest of the day was very good though!
Taylor wanted to be a cheetah this year, so we bought some leggings and a hat from Children's Place and then got some fabric to make a tail belt and some claw gloves. I figured she could just wear some plain shirt with it, but when she tried it all on this morning it didn't work quite as well as we had hoped, so we whipped up a matching vest to complete the look.

Rory, as usual, is my indecisive one. She has dressed up as a princess, an elephant, a bunny, and a cheetah in the last couple of days. For Trick or Treating, she finally decided to go with the bumblebee outfit we had originally planned on. No photo, sorry!
Elliott was also a little bumblebee. Here he is climbing the bottom step today, wearing a Halloween-themed shirt. We put up a baby gate soon after. This is one of the many daring and adventurous things he's been up to lately.
The best part of today was having Mark come home! He got the shuttle from the airport to Palmdale and we picked him up and went out to eat at a new Korean BBQ place. The kids are so happy to have Daddy back and have been soaking up all the hugs and kisses and cuddling. He's pretty tired from lack of sleep and a long day of traveling (plus entertaining the kids and going around the neighborhood as a family Trick or Treating), but we'll help him to rest this weekend and get him on Pacific Time soon enough.
Yay, for being a complete family again!
